Last week held the second Friday of the month which meant that the Genealogy Club of Hudson NH met at the Rodgers Memorial Library.
This was the first time that I had attended and I found it very interesting. Genealogists from all levels were present. One with 40+ years of experience to someone who has not even begun yet and was looking for guidance on where to start.
Last month’s topic was on breaking through brick walls of which this month was a continuation. At the end of the last month, members swapped brick wall problems with one another so as to look at the problem with a new set of eyes. Such a great idea.
It looks like there may have been a couple of new items reported as those that had information went around the room and swapped stories of their searches. The group discussed each problem further and offered out further suggestions on where to try next.
Another woman shared her amazing story of taking down one of her own brick walls with the help of some adoption records provided by the state of MA.
Lastly the librarian who was running the meeting shared a helpful link that she had found to the Nashua Telegraph Historical Archives [Link].
The Nashua Telegraph/Nashua Daily Telegraph, with issues from March 1869 to December 1921. This archive contains scanned, full-page images of the Telegraph in PDF format. Full text, including images and classifieds, news, obituaries, editorials, and ads.
Next months meeting on August 14th will feature Heather Wilkinson Rojo discussing genealogy blogging. She will cover the benefits of blogging about your family history and how easy it is to start to blog!

Heather is great! I have been following her blog since I started. She has an impressive resume of blogging, genealogy experiences and the lecture circuit.
